Recent and fossil Tipulomorpha (Diptera Nematocera), paleontology & evolution of the Diptera.

Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Diptera of groups: Tipulomorpha, Ptychopteromorpha, Anisopodomorpha.

Current Research Projects

• Lower Miocene Limoniidae from Dominican amber.
• Tipulomorpha of the Baltic amber.
• Monograph of the fossil Trichoceridae (in collaboration with E. Krzemińska & Ch. Dahl).
